Enjoying a sightseeing canal cruise or excursion to Zaanse Schans. Alternately, explore the city on a bicycle and take in the atmosphere in the city Amsterdam.

Düsseldorf - Cologne

Take a walking tour of Düsseldorf or a walking tour of Cologne. Enjoy free time to explore, perhaps visit Cologne's Cathedral markets or visit one of the many museums.

DAY 04

Rhine Gorge - Rüdesheim

Cruise through the Rhine Gorge, and admire its stunning vistas before boarding the ‘Winzerexpress' mini train for a guided visit of Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum in Rüdesheim.

Miltenberg - European Village Life

Today you will be taken off the beaten track as an invited guest to experience European village life just for a day where you will have a chance to interact and learn about their culture.

Würzburg

This morning cruise through Bavaria to Würzburg. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Würzburg, follow the Romantic Road to Rothenburg or perhaps visit the Würzburger Residenz: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the vast compound near the center of the town was commissioned by two prince-bishops, the brothers Johann Philipp Franz and Friedrich Karl von Schönborn.

Bamberg

Today enjoy the sights of the city on your guided tour. Visit the Bamberg Cathedral, with the tombs of emperor Henry II and Pope Clement II or try their own smoked Rauchbier (smoked beer) and is home to nine breweriesThere is time at leisure this afternoon to wander through the Christmas markets on Maxplatz Square.

Nuremberg

See the WWII sites followed by a visit to the Documentation Centre or ‘Tastes of Nuremberg'; enjoy a delicious sampling of Nuremberg's famous bratwurst, beer and gingerbread or the visit The Tiergarten Nürnberg zoo stretching over more than 60 hectares (148 acres) in the Nürnberger Reichswald forest.

DAY 09

Regensburg

Take a guided walking tour of Regensburg including an organ recital, a guided visit to Weltenburg Abbey or perhaps take a trip to The Dom (Cathedral) which is an example of pure German Gothic and counts as the main work of Gothic architecture in Bavaria. It was founded in 1275 and completed in 1634, with the exception of the towers, which were finished in 1869.

Passau - Linz

Visit Salzburg or take an excursion to the medieval Czech town of Cesky Krumlov and visit the Ceský Krumlov Castle which has a preserved Baroque theatre, with this original stage machinery, scenery and props it is among only a few such court theatres that still exist.

Linz

Merry Christmas! Enjoy a free day to celebrate with new found friends on board your cruise as we sail towards Melk which is home to the baroque Benedictine monastery named Melk Abbey.

Melk - Dürnstein - Vienna

Discover Melk's Benedictine Abbey or take a guided bike ride along the river from Melk to Dürnstein; one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Wachau region and also a well-known wine growing area.

Vienna

Enjoy a guided tour of the famous city sights including the Ringstrasse. Tonight's highlights include a glass of Austrian Sekt at the majestic Palais Liechtenstein, followed by an enchanting private Viennese evening concert featuring the music of Strauss and Mozart.
